Well it’s been a looong few months since I have been able to play along with the rest of my lovely teammates over on the Daring Cardmakers blog.
But I’m back this week to share my take on Leo’s fab elements dare:
I currently need all the help I can get making Christmas cards, so that’s where I’ve gone with the inspiration in the image:

Other: Distress inks, 3D foam tape
October is also the return of naff lighting – either the light is directly through the window and creates shadows on what you want to photograph or it’s a tad blue! Sigh…
But anyway, I had a fun time creating a night sky backdrop for this little critter using Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot regular Distress ink. I used the Bristol Strathmore cardstock for this as regular Distress inks blend so much better on it than on Neenah (the ink dries right into it and you just end up with blobs from your blending tool). My other elements are the cute creature (hello wintry Mr Fox) and the pink sign. 🙂
