I’m back on the Seven Hills Crafts blog today with more crafty inspiration from the wonderful Spring Jardin collection by The Greetery. Spring Jardin was such a popular release that a number of items sold out. But restocks will be coming soon in April for items that were still in stock with The Greetery, otherwise later in the month once The Greetery has restocked too.

When I pulled out my Tangled Tulips supplies, I already had in mind a regency style colour palette featuring a powdery French blue, vibrant pinks, and ivory to set off the greenery nicely.
I started out by cutting a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch piece of ivory cardstock to pop in my stamp positioner, so I could easily stencil the first two steps of the Tangled Tulips stamp and stencil set.
Next I went in with the stamp details from that set and used the Capsule Fixed Borders Large die to cut out the frame.
I also held onto the ivory cardstock piece to use as a template in future. I can then easily slot in any shade of cardstock cut with the larger Capsule Basics die or large Fixed Border to stencil and stamp more easily.
I also created a similar template for future use when stamping and cutting the Tangled Tulips die.
Then it was time to emboss the frame and floral pieces with the Tangled Tulips embossing folder.
For the frame, it’s definitely better to run one end of the folder through half way, rotate, and then run the other end through half way. This prevents creasing and also doesn’t pull on the cardstock too much distorting the image.
I also ran through the left-over centre of the large Fixed Border die with the embossing folder so this could pop up the stamped florals.
I created my cardbase from two pieces of blue cardstock with the large scalloped Capsule Basics die, scoring down the left side of the back panel to create a hinge so that the card stands up.
To make the centre of the card stand out more, I ran gold paint around the edge for a vintage touch.
Finally, I stamped the solid banner and a sentiment from the Tangled Tulips stamp set on ivory card and popped it over the embossed banner – making sure to only add glue to the centre of the banner, so the tails stand up.
