Another challenge right up my street, so much so that I made a couple of cards with the products I had out on my desk. 🙂

I’ve been looking forward to using the lovely cheerful rainbow colours of this collection from Simple Stories. Just perfect for a birthday card.
I cracked open my Snarks & Recreation stamp set to quote one of my favourite lines from that show – Treat Yo’ Self!
Anyway, yes Parks & Rec – one of the best shows ever made.
I embossed the main greeting with black embossing powder on a piece of paper from an older Simple Stories collection that had similar colours. Then the other sentiment from Avery Elle was heat embossed with white embossing powder.
A few chipboard elements around the aperture window finished off this look.

I couldn’t leave out this other rainbow pattern, it was just so bright and cheerful and again another piece of colourful paper from Simple Stories worked great as a background to the main sentiment. Really fun!
