It is of course time for a new elemental inspiration challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers blog this week and Svenja has picked a good one:
It definitely made me think outside the box for a moment until I started seeing things come together as I mentally prepared a supplies list that would work.

So my inspiration was the stencilled diamond pattern (interpreted as the quilted diamonds of the cover plate die), the hexagons, and the combination of yellow + hot pink.
The ink blending simply uses Squeezed Lemonade in the centre with Mustard Seed blended around the outside working in.
I added water splatter to the background but also splatter with the MFT background splatter stamp which is handy when you don’t want to get too messy. I used the No2 pencil ink from Lawn Fawn for that, but experimenting with other background panels I was blending at the same time showed that I could have got great results with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide too – it would have showed up fine. 🙂
I left the panel to dry properly while I got stamping the Field Flowers from The Stamp Market in plenty of vibrant colours.
After a little positioning of things, I cut a circle aperture to house my hexagon greeting. These are the only hexagon dies I currently have. I keep meaning to get some nested hexagons but the WPlus9 ones I liked are always out of stock. But for little tags like this, the old set I have from MFT did the job wonderfully.
In hindsight, I wish I’d positioned the bouquet a little lower, but liquid glue on a Distress Oxide background isn’t very forgiving so it stayed where it is. lol
Finally, I added a tie element from the Fit to Be Tied die set from The Greetery and doubled up the white die cut with one cut from Rusty cardstock for an extra pop.
As a final detail, I used clear Nuvo drops in the centre of the larger flower.
