Good morning!
As you may remember yesterday I used the Scandinavian Prints Christmas stamp set from Neat & Tangled.
Well, while it was out I wondered whether I could use it in some way with the Gina K Wreath Builder template.
And lo and behold, I did a thing….

They’ve been gone from the paper industry some years now, but I miss Basic Grey. I absolutely loved the Juniper Berry Christmas line which was their last festive release I believe.
The woodland paper was one of my favourites, so I wanted to use that as my main background then pull inspiration from it with the colours, including the deep pink.
I didn’t have the right shade of cardstock to mat with, so ended up blending Altenew Razzleberry and Rubellite onto some Doll cardstock from Simon Says Stamp on my Waffle Flower mat.
Well, big mistake.
I know the mat can get stained, but there’s no shifting the lines of ink on my once pristine mat. I will remember that for non Distress inks to use a different surface where possible. The staining doesn’t affect the performance, it’s just a shame to have the random lines on it when everything else I’ve used so far washed off completely.
Anyway, back to the card – the wreath was really straightforward to create with the Gina K template and the finished result created a pretty and festive star. It kind of reminds me of something from the 50s and the festival of Britain artwork.
I cut a circle in the middle where everything intersected so that I could have an aperture for my greeting and hey presto, a bit of foam tape and my card was assembled. 🙂
