2020 Christmas Countdown | Day 47 (Deck the Halls)

Today’s card is a bit of a throwback…

I always love delving into the papers from Christmas collections of the past and despite my efforts to use some new papers for today’s card design, I ended up picking out some lovely designs from the Crate Paper Bundled Up collection which must be a good 7 years old now.

I wanted to make a dimensional tree ornament hanging from a wintry bough. So created the star with text printed paper, scored all the intersecting points to pop it up on 3D foam tape and hung it from one of the Pine Boughs from The Stamp Market.

I added white ink to the needles on the pine bough so that it would stand out better, some silver thread to hang the star from a branch, and a little red dainty bow from Mama Elephant.

That die has been used so much over the years, its daintiness is just perfect to add finishing touches to all kinds of projects.

Finally, for the sentiment I heat embossed a stacked sentiment from Mama Elephant on a scrap piece of paper and added an enamel dot in one of the colours on the Christmas tree baubles in the background.
