In the Frame | Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Happy Friday!

Over on the Daring Cardmakers blog, it’s my turn to set the challenge this week.

And the theme is “In the frame”: you need to use a frame to spotlight a sentiment or image on your card or to enclose your entire card design.

Here’s what I came up with:

Card inspiration from Handmade by Natty featuring The Greetery Print Shop Floral Frame

This is the first outing for my lovely Print Shop: Floral Frame set from The Greetery. It includes stencils to do the lighter colour of the florals before then stamping the leaves, berries and other details and cutting out the entire floral frame – if you so wish.

I used a mix of Spring ink tones and decided to contrast the floral frame against a grey background and pink card base for a change.

I added a sentiment from the Written in Ribbons set and finished everything off with some white Nuvo Drops for extra pop.

The frame is actually propped up on strips of waste cardstock from die-cutting. I’m doing this a lot more now, rather than always reaching for the 3D foam tape. Less waste all round, and my liquid glue gets used more. 🙂
