Chocolate Heaven….
My card for this week’s dare couldn’t have been made without a little care package from my wonderful crafty friend Claire. She cut out a few passes of the Curio Confections dies from The Greetery and some coordinating die cuts from the same release from white cardstock, and included some embellishments too. Thank you again, Claire! x

I spent much of last Saturday creating this card, starting out by inking up all the die-cuts Claire had sent with various shades of Distress Oxides. I used ink daubers for the chocolates and strawberry bits, then switched to dye ink and brushes to tint the chocolate wrappers, and add pink ink to the little inserts that go inside the frame windows (not that you can really see them now – they are also speckled with darker pink ink), oh and also to add a bit more pink to the bow.
Once all the bits and pieces had dried, including the Glossy Accents on the “drizzle” elements, I cut the Curio Divider frame from AC brown cardstock – 4 passes to build up the frame – and glued it to my card base.
To replicate that chocolate box window look, I used the Park Avenue frame from Mama Elephant. I initially cut it from patterned paper, but it just didn’t look right. But that pattern paper frame was a great template for working out where to place everything inside the “box” before adding the frame over the top.
Simple pink cardstock ended up being the perfect choice in the end.
To incorporate a sentiment, I remembered that the Gift Giving Greetings set from The Stamp Market had one of my favourite phrases from Parks & Recreation in it and also the most apt wording for this card!
The sentiment fit perfectly on the smallest Deco Frame die-cut from The Greetery and looks like a gift card once nestled in among all those chocolates.
Before I added the card complete with bow to the box, I used Glossy Accents again to add in all the crumble and strawberry accents.
Once that was done, I added the sentiment and stepped away! 🙂
This project was definitely a labour of love, but it was well worth it for the end result!
