This week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog, Kathy is challenging us to make a card with attitude. A card that isn’t the usual square or rectangular design.
Well, I had something a bit different in mind. A circular card:

I spent much of my Sunday afternoon, die cutting the Spring Wreath Builder dies from The Stamp Market out of pretty shades of Color Crush cardstock, so that there would be a light and dark open leaf die cut, a light leafy die-cut with dark branch detail, and a light floral die-cut with stamped detail from each of the colour families you see.
For the stamped detail, I found the perfect little stamp that would work in the Southern Summers Florals 1 stamp set from WPlus9. The stamped details are the same colour of ink as the cardstock they’re stamped on.
For my card base, I took the largest Spellbinders scalloped circle in my stash that I could find and cut a large circle of white cardstock to layer over it, but before sticking it down, I ran the plain circle through my Big Shot with the Sparkling Diamonds coverplate die from Pinkfresh Studio to provide a bit of detail to the background.
Once the base was assembled, I started arranging all the wreath elements around the circle die-cut. Thankfully, I’d guestimated enough shades and die-cut pieces!
I then cut a plain white banner from the wreath set to use as the backdrop to those gold numbers cut with the beautiful Bold Numbers dies from The Greetery, and also finished off the card with a sentiment on a teeny tag attached with silver thread, and some glittery enamel dots for good measure.
