It’s the first Friday of a brand-new month, so it’s time for a new elemental inspiration challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers blog.
This month, it’s my turn to pick our inspirational image and I went for something with a few autumnal vibes but still plenty of signs of summer:
The elements I went with were embroidered flowers, a hint of lace (in the background), and woodgrain/frames.

I started out by blending In the Buff ink on the front of my white cardbase and then stamping the Embroidered Background stamp in Old Paper Distress Ink for a very subtle pattern.
I grabbed the Curio Divider Details die to work out which Hoopla Mini frames I could use.
Then it was time to grab my cardstock scraps and cut lots of leafy bits and florals to fill the frames and openings.
Once I’d got the rough layout arranged, I created the wooden frame with the Honey Bee Wood Frame Builder dies and stuck everything down.
All that was left to do was add a sentiment with the coordinating Curio Labels stamp set.
The card looks quite dimensional in places, but as there’s no foam tape used it’s flat enough to mail with a normal stamp. 🙂
