It’s my turn to set the challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers Blog this week, and what better way to grapple with one of my crafty pet problems.
I don’t know about you, but I’m always a sucker for a lovely font whether in stamp or die form. I always have great ambitions to use alphabet sets to do more than just personalise the odd card here and there. I fancifully think I’m going to create loads of striking sentiments and greetings with them, when the reality is that I simply overlook what I have.
Numbers I have no problem using, alphabet sets… hm… I need to dig them out and use them more.
So that’s the theme for this week’s challenge – get your alpha stamps or dies out to create the main sentiment for your card.
Here’s my take with, of course, a couple of retired alpha sets from Pinkfresh Studio:

Stencils: The Greetery – Fair Isle
I used the combination of alpha dies to make that sentiment pop against the Wood Slice die and that rather non-traditional colour palette… Well, maybe it’s not that non-traditional… there’s some red and green… and a whole lot of brown! I was originally inspired by a more muted version of a colour palette that Betsy used for the Fair Isle stencils. I’m thinking blue tones are next on my list.
