There’s a brand-new challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers blog from Joanne, who has chosen a great theme for us.
We need to feature something related to music/dance on our cards, such as the lyrics to a song.
Thankfully, my quick search in Evernote of my stamp and die sets yielded a very happy result.
I had the lyrics to “Don’t worry be happy…” in a stamp set from PTI, and with a little mash-up here’s what I created:

Stencil: Simon Says Stamp – Clouds For Days
A marathon die-cutting sessions was on the cards, as I wanted to pair the stamped sentiment with the 3×3 Rainbow Cover die from The Stamp Market in 7 shades of cardstock.
So, why not make all the elements for 7 cards?
Once all the rainbows were assembled, complete with grey scallop frames, I stamped the sentiment from PTI’s Happiness in Bloom set on Pretext Banner strips.
Then I grabbed the Clouds for Days stencil from Simon Says Stamp and ink blended clouds onto UK A6 card bases using Tropic Teal ink.
Now for the next marathon die-cutting session – cutting the word happy from 5 shades of complimenting cardstock and the matching which shadow.
I used the All Kinds of Happy stamp and die sets for this, the stamp set was very helpful for lining up the letters on the shadow die-cuts. I simply stamped the happy on the shadows in light grey Limestone ink in my Misti using the negative die-cut of the shadow die as jig.
Thankfully, I had an audiobook to listen to while this was all being done.
As a finishing touch, I added some sparkly sequins and a heart.
I didn’t manage to assemble all the card elements I’d cut, but they’re all good to go for future projects. 🙂
