This week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog, Kathy has presented us with a challenge all based on the ingredients for a cake.
So you’ll need:
- Flour (a flower or more than one if you like)
- Butter (the colour yellow)
- Sugar (use Glitter or other ‘tiny sprinkly’ stuff)
- Eggs (on oval shape, or a bird, nest, or something else egg related)
- Plus 2 ingredients of your choice if you wish
Here’s my take:
Papers and chipboard: Crate Paper – Maggie Holmes – Garden Party
Stamp: Flora and Fauna – Everyday Word Party 2
Dies: Pinkfresh Studio – Notched Corner Frame, PTI – Scallop Border (medium) (r), Spellbinders – Fluted Classics Ovals
I used various paper scraps from my stash of Garden Party 12×12 papers and cut into the 6×8 pad for the green and spotty paper.
The black floral paper is cut with a Notched Corner Frame die from Pinkfresh Studio.
The ovals are cut with the Spellbinders Fluted Classics Ovals dies.
For the sparkly details, I added tiny sequins to the flower centres and also some Glossy Accents to others.
And it wasn’t until I took photos of this card that I saw how wonky some elements were. Oops!
