There’s a brand-new challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers blog today, where Joanne has challenged us to raise a glass/cup of our favourite tipple.
Well, I am most partial (in cooler months – aka July 2024) to a hot chocolate with all the works. Especially a Black Forest hot chocolate!
And I am continuing on my Christmas in July crafting odyssey, so here’s what I made:
Stamps: The Stamp Market – Tis the Season
Dies: The Stamp Market – Tis the Season, Lawn Fawn – Stitched Snowflakes, Pinkfresh Studio – Notched Corner Frame, Pretty Pink Posh – Winter Mug, The Greetery – Ribbon Maker Large Scallops, Waffle Flower – Poinsettia Cluster
Stencil: Pretty Pink Posh – Layered Snowflakes
I actually started out this card with the card base already covered in the pink cardstock that I’d previously blended with subtle pink Layered Snowflakes using the stencils from Pretty Pink Posh. I’d also already stuck the Notched Corner Frame down on it too – and at some point I’s abandoned the card and it was sitting in my “to use” bin on my desk until this challenge came alone.
So I grabbed a few more items from that bin, namely the Waffle Flower Poinsettia Cluster foliage that didn’t end up getting used for their release, and the Ribbon Maker Large Scallops border.
Once I’d cut and ink blended the Winter Mug elements that I wanted to use, it was just a matter of adding a fitting sentiment to the card and some finishing touches with Stitched Snowflakes from Lawn Fawn and some clay accents to the centres. 🙂
Fair warning, I think my Christmas in July projects will continue for a bit longer. lol
