Today I have a festive product mash-up to share.
Last year I bought a Christmas card kit from Spellbinders in the sale.
I’d had it on my list for ages, as I loved the look of the bright colours and the designs in the ephemera and paper packs.
Well, I’m glad that I bought the kit in the sale. As, although it comes jam-packed with lots of stuff, the paper and ephemera were pretty dull compared to the online images.
I hate being a negative Nelly, but considering the cost of the full-priced kits and the usually high quality of Spellbinders products, I assumed the print quality and paper thickness would be more like Scrapbook lines from Crate Paper and Simple Stories.
It’s a shame as it took some of the shine off finally getting this kit.
But I put that aside and wondered how I could make an inroad into all the ephemera I had – two pieces of each design element!
And of course, the Waffle Flower Postage Collage die and Coloring stencils were the perfect solution!
I made a few cards in each of these designs:

Stencil: Waffle Flower – Postage Collage Coloring
I selected ephemera that would fit in the little window and quickly got my inks out to stencil the backgrounds for each block.
Adding white pen details when the ink had dried.
I then went in with various Postage Collage stamp sets to add the postage details before sticking down the ephemera.
There was just room for a small sentiment like the “Feeling Very Merry” from The Stamp Market and the “Mery Everything” sentiment from Hello Bluebird.
I then mounted the panels on pink cardstock that had I’d blended the airmail border on in Bubblegum and Chili Pepper ink.
And there we have it, a few cards from Santa’s workshop in the North Pole. 😉
