Morning all!
As mentioned over on Instagram, I have a couple of creative ambitions for this year.
One being to keep on top of my festive makes (hopefully on a weekly basis) and the other is to rediscover and use some of the wonderful rather “vintage” stash I have bought over the years.
I do so love the new and sparkly, but sometimes I wish there were enough hours in the day (and creative inspiration) to play with both the new and the old, retired stuff.
So let’s see how this resolution goes in 2025!
There is no shortage of supplies at my disposal, and I will of course still be adding to them in 2025!
But I had to kick off this personal challenge with a good dose of happy colours, and here’s what I made:

It all started when I pulled out the Vintage Slides die set from The Stamp Market and set about creating the rainbow background grid to my card.
I basically cut 12 of the smaller slides and snipped them in half along the score line, so that I could use the back half to stamp the colour shown in the aperture using a brush stroke stamp from Flora & Fauna’s Brush Birthday set.
Once the background was stuck down, I grabbed the You stamp set and coordinating You’re the Nicest die set (which includes the shadow die for the sentiment). They’re both from The Stamp Market and now retired, but I managed to snag them second hand on eBay last year.
To finish off the card, I added some scored hearts from another very old and much used set by Neat & Tangled.
It’s a pretty clean and simple make, and I also added a stamped oversized “Thank You” inside the card, again using the You stamp set.
