Morning all!
The other day I shared a card featuring the Our House Bundle from Concord & 9th.
Well, just like my approach to tiny festive houses like the Home for the Holidays and Over the Rooftops sets, I find it makes more sense to cut and assemble multiples when possible and have these elements ready to go for future cards.
Well the future card, in this case, is this one!
Supplies: Concord & 9th – Our House Bundle, The Greetery – Winter Medley
I won’t go into all the details here (you can look back at my earlier post for that), but armed with the embossed roof elements and the plain base elements I’d already cut, I created a festive take on the house.
First up, I scored horizontal lines on the house base rather than use the brick embossing folder in the bundle for a “wood” texture.
I stuck to a similar colour palette, adding in some gold for the sentiment and glitter cardstock for the festive lights.
I added more winter greenery to the windows using the Winter Medley set from The Greetery. The little bows are from the Our House set and fit perfectly.
And of course there had to be some puffy paint for snow accents – alas there was a slight explosion of puffy paint on the door, but it’s all good!
Oh, and it wouldn’t be Christmas without a little Stickles action – red on the bows and clear on the flower centres.
And there we have it, a not-so-tiny festive house for the collection…
I wish I’d managed to capture the details better in these photos, but I had to snap this card around 5 p.m. yesterday, so the light isn’t ideal… but we’re finally getting more usable daylight moving into spring! Hurrah!
