I’m back with another Spring-inspired card.
No idea whether I’m on track or not, but I keep making the odd card here and there!
Today it’s the turn of a layering stencil set I picked up in the Spellbinders sale earlier this year.
I wanted to test it out on coloured cardstock and well, here’s the result:

Stencils: Spellbinders – Coneflowers
I think the blue cardstock is from an old card kit, and it was smooth enough for the inks I blended over the Coneflower stencils to not bleed and seep into the card fibres – always nice, I hate when that happens!
I used a mix of Color Crush inks for the different layers, including Melon Orange for the dots on the flowers, which I later went over with a white pen.
The layout of the flowers reminded me a bit of the Springtime stamp and die set from The Greetery. So I thought, why not make a jumbo version of that scene with a bunny walking among the flowers.
The Bunny Kisses die was the perfect size for this, and another opportunity to use some puffy paint for the bunny’s tail.
I just added a little envelope for the bunny to deliver those springtime wishes and some “soil” at the bottom with the Hill and Dale dies.
Once everything was assembled, I used my 1/2″ Corner Chomper to round the edges at the top so it looks a bit like a terrarium.
