Morning all!
This week’s festive Friday make was a no-brainer as I still had the Merry Mug Creations die set out on my desk from an earlier project.
Stamps: Lawn Fawn – Snow Day stamps (r), The Greetery – Bookish Holiday Frames
Dies: Spellbinders – Merry Mug Creations, The Greetery – Have a Spine, The Greetery – Romantic Corners
So before anything else, I got started creating a festive little mug with my Spellbinders ColorWheel cardstock scraps in the following colours:
- Dahlia
- Wild Berry
- Truffle
- Fern
- Saffron
- Alabaster
- Bellini
- White
- Pomegranate
- Fog
Then I decided it was time for yet another book-themed card and grabbed the Have a Spine die set from The Greetery to create my card base.
I also thought this would be a great time to use the Romantic Corners and the frame die in that set.
The various book elements are cut from the following cardstock:
- Spellbinders ColorWheel Mint (spine, cover, frame)
- Spellbinders ColorWheel Alabaster (book edges)
- Bazzill Cardshoppe Pale Rose (inside of frame)
- The Stamp Market Tropic Teal (corner details)
Finally, once I’d sorted out all my elements, I added text from the Bookish Holiday Frames stamp set down the spine, plus little flourishes in Tropic Teal ink.
And for the main sentiment, I found that the Merry & Bright stamp from Lawn Fawn’s Snow Day set was a great fit.
All that remained was to add a little sparkle with some Pinkfresh Champagne glitter drops.
