For this week’s card, I decided it was time to select some supplies at random.
And the set I flipped to was the Destination North Pole stamp and die set from The Greetery, now retired.
Stamps: The Greetery – Destination – North Pole (r)
Dies: The Greetery – Destination – North Pole (r), Waffle Flower – The View (r)
I decided to pair some of the elements with The View background die from Waffle Flower, also now retired so this is definitely an “old supplies” make.
I used a mix of Distress Oxide inks to create a wintry sky (complete with snowy splatter) and inked the remaining blue ink on my brush over the mountain slopes, adding glitter card for the snowy mountain tops.
Then it was time to cut and stamp the North Pole sentiments and elements.
I just love the two-step North Pole sentiment with that tree design inside, I used Pacific ink for the main outline and Sea Glass for the inside.
Then it was time to free-hand stamp the trees with different green tones and the polar bears in limestone ink.
But for the houses, candy canes, and North Pole sign I used my stamping jig inside my Misti that I cut way back when before snipping the dies apart.
Finally, it was time to stick down all the elements to finish up the little scene! 🙂
