This week’s Festive Friday make is most definitely inspired by the new Christmas Market release from The Greetery.
With just a few sneak peeks released last weekend when I sat down at my desk to make my card, I couldn’t help but be drawn back to creating a festively bedecked house. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new European style buildings, but in the meantime it was the perfect opportunity to revisit Yana Smakula‘s City Holiday collection for Spellbinders.

For this outing of the City Holiday die set, I decided to lean into some festive pink and red tones, with a hint of mint and grabbed a whole host of cardstock in the following shades to get cutting:
- Building and bricks: Spellbinders Blush | C9 Pink Lemonade
- Roof, gifts, and gift bows: Spellbinders Cranberry | C9 Brickyard
- Door, steps, and windows: Spellbinders Blue Spruce, Fog, Mint, Chiffon, Alabaster | The Stamp Market Bubblegum
- Wreaths and bows: C9 Juniper | Spellbinders Poppy
- Tree: C9 Evergreen
- Cat and dog: Spellbinders Raven
Once the house was assembled, I wanted to keep it looking dimensional.
So I cut an A2 card base to 3.5 x 5.5 to conceal behind the house and snowdrift. But before sticking those down, I trimmed the snowdrift and positioned everything in my Misti so that I could line up the Typed Christmas sentiment just so.
Finally, I added some fluffy stuff for snowy details here and there, plus some Stickles for sparkle.
Hopefully it won’t be too long until I get to play with The Greetery Christmas Market buildings!
