Well, another Festive Friday has arrived!
And once again, I’m turning to some older supplies for this week’s creation.

I managed to pick up the Stitched Love die set from Spellbinders in a sale earlier this year or late last year, and confession: It was so deeply discounted at the time that I really only bought it for the scalloped outline die…
But I saw the potential for a lot more, including festive makes – and for using up cardstock scraps.
So, for a little Zen crafting, I pulled out my needle and thread and got to stitching the details on the floral elements I die cut.
Here’s a run-down of the cardstock colours used:
- Scalloped base: Spellbinders Chiffon
- Greenery: C9 Juniper
- Blooms: C9 Grapefruit
- Berries: C9 Lakefront, Sea Glass | Spellbinders Sicily
Oh, and top tip: I like to use Multi-Matte Medium as the adhesive for sticking down the stitched pieces, as it dries clear and matte so any glue that seeps through the holes isn’t noticeable at all.
Once I had all my pieces cut and stitched, I arranged them in my Misti to work out the positioning of a sentiment stamp I thought would go well with this look. The Avery Elle Noel stamps came out ages ago, but the sentiments in particular have a folksy and timeless feel to them.
I stamped the sentiment in Walnut ink and set it aside to dry while I prepped my card base.
To keep the colour palette, I ran my Gathered Twigs Distress ink pad around the edges of a white A2 card blank and splattered it with White Gold paint from the Starry Colors paint set.
It gives a hint of sparkle around the edges and complements the blingy aquamarine Prima gems I added to the blooms and berries.
