Well, it’s been a funny old week. For whatever reason, my mojo and creative ideas have completely flown out the window. With the worst timing ever!

Because I have been dying to get crafty with the wonderful Market Place collection from The Greetery.

And I’m a bit disappointed that I wasn’t full of ambitious ideas when I finally got over my bout of procrastination and sat down to do a bit of crafting.

Here’s hoping the crafty blues pass very soon, because I have so much to play with right now, including the rest of this lovely release!

So for the first outing, I decided to use the Market Place No. 1 die first.

I cut the main building from deep red Bazzill cardstock in my stash (having cut down lots of 12×12 sheets into 6×6 pieces ready for future cards).

Then I raided my scraps folders for C9 and Spellbinders cardstock to add all the details.

The main building is mounted on ivory card.

I just love the details in the Market Place Holiday Festoons set. I’ve used all the wreath options here, plus the gold garlands.

The sign for this building is stamped with one of the many storefront names from the Market Place Holiday Sentiments set.

I added lots of Fluffy Stuff details to the building once assembled and hit them with my heat gun to puff them up. Then I added clear glue over some of these elements to add a shimmer of Rock Candy dry glitter and set the building aside to dry.

For my background, I simply blended Distress Oxides onto my white card base from the light blue already on my blending brush all the way up to Black Soot at the top.

After spritzing with water, I also splattered the background with white paint and the building got a fine splatter of paint too.

Now, to decide which Market Place building I try next!
