It’s a Festive Friday with a difference this week!

Earlier this week, Spellbinders released a new collection in its US and UK stores called Mugs & Kisses.

I have been lucky enough to get crafty with two of the items in this release:

• The Mug Friends die set (US|UK)
• The Snow Joy 2-step stencil set (US|UK)

In addition to the Mug Friends dies and Snow Joy stencils that I’m using today, the Mugs & Kisses collection also includes:

• The Mugs & Kisses Sentiments stamp set (US|UK)
• The Mugs & Kisses Bundle (US|UK) containing the above dies, stamps, and stencils
• The Decorate the Season press and foil plate (US|UK)

I started out by prepping my Fairy Tale cardbase with the Snow Joy stencils (US|UK) using two tones of lavender ink.

Then I assembled the Mug Friends dies (US|UK) using ColorWheel cardstock in the following shades:

• Mug: Teal Topaz, Waterfall, Acorn, Alabaster, Blush, Pomegranate + glitter card for the snowflake
• Snowman: White, Raven, Carrot, Truffle, Poppy, Tutu + Blush for the stars

I added a strip of Fawn cardstock to the base of the stencilled background and then created an aperture for my little scene using the frame from the Hooray! It’s Your Birthday die set (UK) cut from Lavender card, and running that through with the Sweater Weather embossing folder (US|UK).

A little ink blending with some lavender ink brought out the knit pattern of the embossing texture even more.

Once my little mug scene was assembled, I finished the card off with a sentiment from the Hero Arts A Little Merri-Mint stamp and cut set (US|UK).

I’m now looking forward to creating another Mug Friends card featuring the cute penguin mug in this set!
