As promised, I’m back with a project featuring some of the summery stash I bought last month, or even the month before! Who knows?!

I’ve actually mashed it up with some much older releases from The Stamp Market for this book-themed little number…

I started by cutting the book base from C9 Clover cardstock using the Book die set from The Stamp Market.

I cut an aperture in the cover using the Nested Notched die set so that I could nestle in a panel cut from Tickle Me Pink cardstock stamped in Candy Kiss ink with a foliage stamp from the True Story set.

I also decorated the cover with stamps from the In My Book set with Cactus and Forest ink, and did the same for the spine detail.

Once the book was assembled, it was just a case of adding a sentiment in the form of the new Berry Blossoms Frame set. That was my new purchase in the summer!

I cut the frame 4xfrom white and 1x from gold foil.

For the sentiment, I cut the “For You” die 2x from 6 shades of card: Candy Kiss, Dijon, Cerulean, Gumdrop, Cornflower, and Fresh Pink.

This was the laborious bit – stacking up the individual letters and then puzzling them into the aperture of the white background.

But it makes the sentiment pop much better, and I decorated the frame with little flowers from the Berry Blossoms Frame set in Spellbinders Blush with Dijon centres.

For a finishing touch, I added a Peony bow cut from The Greetery Diamond Ribbons set and a little Lawn Fawn heart in Poppy red card.

A fun little project for the book lovers out there.
