Times they are a changing…

So it’s been a busy week in the crafty blogging community – lots of chatting online with fellow crafters.

I’ve been using the Inklinkz project manager tool for a number of years now to provide readers with a visual overview of the products I’ve used in my crafty projects.

Unfortunately this tool is being phased out and the monthly subscription to use the new LinkDeli tool is going from what was $4.99 a month to $15.99 or $30.99 depending on the desired functionality.

The new tool is really aimed at those who link to affiliated stores and can track their link performance etc and who will be earning good money to cover the outlay. It’s moved away from the basic functions I used Inlinkz project manager for.

As I don’t earn money from crafting through links, the new subscription is not something I can cover and I’d much rather put that amount of money towards my budget for buying supplies.

I’ve never made money through links – I’m not an affiliate of any stores right now, the links I provide are solely there to show what I’ve used and where it might be available.

So with my subscription to the old Inlinkz project manager tool ending, there will be an error message appearing in old blog posts where these lists were previously inserted.

I was really bummed out that I’d no longer be able to share links to product in an easy way going forward, but enter the wonderful Yana Smakula, who is not only an amazingly talented crafter, she often provides tips to fellow crafters on how to achieve things for less (such as props and backgrounds for photography) and this now includes kindly sharing her own Linky Tool with the crafting community.

Thanks to her and Oles and their Facebook group I and many others now have a free solution that enables us to keep sharing links. 🙂

I can’t thank them enough for their generosity and the time and assistance they have provided thus far.

So look out for a slightly different look and better links from me!

Please note that I’ll still be linking to as much of the product I use as possible, including old stash that I own that may be retired but which you may have at home as well.

Anything that I find to be unavailable at the stores I frequent I will mark “(r)” at the end of the name for retired.
