So it’s only a week late, but I’m just popping in to share the projects I made in the run up to Father’s Day last Sunday.
Here’s the card for my own Daddy-O!
Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: Avery Elle – The Man
Dies: Avery Elle – The Man, PTI – Headline alphabet, PTI – Limitless Layers Hearts, Mama Elephant – Sew Fancy
Other: 3D foam tape, enamel dots
This design is probably the fastest thing that has come together on my craft desk in a while!
I had a phone call from a crafty friend who received some IOU slips as part of her Christmas present from me this year, for calling in 5 handmade custom cards. Well, this call came before we were due to have our crop that evening, while I was stood in the Asda car park an hour away from packing for said crop. lol
When I got home I realised it would make much more sense for me to get this card made before the crop so I wouldn’t need to lug a whole load of supplies to try and come up with something fitting for a Grandpa card.
Inspiration struck, and after a hurried message to check whether a giant heart would be acceptable on this card I made this card within 20 minutes much to my friend’s surprise. She wasn’t expecting anything immediate! But when the idea is there, you have to run with it:
It came complete with a handmade envelope too. 😀 I am happy to report it was a hit!
So as I had the product out on my desk still the next day I made a similar one for my own dad – that stamp and die set from Avery Elle is retired now, but I have to get the most out of it once a year right?
Also I fully used up that sheet of paper from Basic Grey – the two designs are the A and B sides of the same sheet.
So a point scored on the stash usage front!
