This week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog, Ruth is challenging us to feature flowers on our creations.

The perfect time for me to bust out some Altenew floral stamps for the last of my 2019 Easter cards. 🙂

And what better than some tulips for this season?

From the supplies list below, it looks like I’ve used lots of different inks but the flowers and stems are only two steps to stamp and most of the colours are within the Altenew cube sets I’ve listed. Four Scoops is one of my favourite sets as the pink and yellow shades in that collection just sit nicely in between the lighter and darker shades they offer in other collections.

I used coordinating Lawn Fawn ink to stamp the lovely backgrounds which are recent purchases from The Stamp Market. I love their clean and graphic style. So versatile for many projects and I hope they have a UK retailer soon!

I didn’t have the right shade of cardstock for my “Easter” die cut, so I used the large Painted Background stamp from The Stamp Market and Butter ink from Lawn Fawn to create the right shade, and also cut the tag tab from what was left over. 🙂

And you may be wondering why a Christmas stamp set is listed in my supplies, well that WPlus9 set contains two very important stamps: “wishes” in 2 sizes ready for mixing and matching with other greetings and dies. I don’t think I’ve had a hand-lettered style “wishes” in my collection so far and it will definitely come in handy for use with this die and others.

These cards do indeed share the same design, I just switched up the colour palettes! 🙂

Thanks to the Misti I was able to make a copy of my first card once I’d got it all laid out as I wanted and just switched up the background and tulip colours for a pink palette. 🙂

One day I am determined to do some masking with this stamp set as I’d love to do a row of tulips in various pastel shades.

But not today!
