Good morning!
Well, way back in April when I was drafting this blog post, it was Good Friday in Corona Lockdown.
I have no idea what will happen in the months between me writing this post and the day it is scheduled to be posted, but I hope things improve and so I plan to continue trying to keep at this challenge while I can.
Although to be fair, inspiration is a bit thin on the ground considering it’s April at the time of writing! 😉
However, this card is a bit of a catch-up project.
It’s my festive interpretation of the March card challenge prompt – which featured a lot of green!

I was inspired by a technique I saw Yana Smakula do with this background stamp – it’s clear embossed on green cardstock then I went in and blended green inks over the top so that the embossed trees are now lighter than the background.
I also used this lovely stamp set from Lil’ Inker Designs that I picked up earlier in the year before it was unavailable forever.
I tried my hand at stamping on pink cardstock then colouring in with Copics and added a few highlights with a white pen. I really like the end result and have another similar illustration set from Lil’ Inker Designs, so I will try this look again, put perhaps on another shade of cardstock. Makes a nice change to white! 😀
And of course there had to be a bit of glitter in there – the full panel is mounted on gold glitter paper. 🙂
