Happy Festive Friday!

This week I’ve been greatly inspired by the Blow Out sale that has been going on at Concord & 9th and runs until the 9th.

I took time last Friday when the pdf catalogue for the sale was released to trawl through all the sections to see what was being retired or deeply discounted.

Many of my favourite festive and non-festive sets from the past few years were included – Festive Blooms being one of them!

Card idea | Concord & 9th Festive Blooms

So out came my Festive Blooms die set and my cardstock swatch ring, ready to get to work.

But I received a timely email from the C9 Color Club sharing the results of a recent survey to pick the names of some new colour palettes. And one immediately jumped out to inspire me for today’s festive number:

And away I went happily cutting all the pieces to arrange on the Ballet Slipper background with the impressed stitched outline for guidance.

All the smaller pieces of this set fit easily through my Sidekick machine so it takes little time to cut everything ready for assembly.

Once the panel was finished, I gave it a splattering of gold and white paint.

Card idea | Concord & 9th Festive Blooms

Next up I pulled out the Tis the Season stamp and die set from The Stamp Market for a nice sentiment to fill that middle space without covering too much up.

This card needed just a little finishing touch, and I still had some 1/16″ Quick Strips in Sweet Pea cardstock to add a thin border edge around the card.

And there we go!
