I’m back on the Seven Hills Crafts blog today with a rather fancy and most definitely floral anniversary card using supplies from The Greetery.

Amazingly, this card idea all started with me wanting to use the Sweetest Frames Capsule Edition products that recently came back into stock.

And then it kind of morphed!

I was originally planning on making a landscape card with the Sweetest Frames, featuring some florals in the middle, and adding a Laid Back Basics sentiment inside.

Simple right?

Well, that would have been cool, but the more items I grabbed to try, the more my card moved away from that original plan.

I landed on using the Tangled Tulips set for the floral accents, but that meant I’d need to rotate my card into a portrait design so that the sentiment placement wouldn’t look weird.

The Tangled Tulips embossing folder came in very handy for creating extra texture and pop. I even ran the smaller Sweetest Frames Capsule Edition through the embossing folder after stamping and cutting it on a darker tone of cardstock. This made it super easy to arrange that middle section against the minty background by puzzling the embossed pieces in.

Then I just popped the Happy Anniversary sentiment from the Laid Back Basics set over the pink banner to complete the tulip panel.

For my card base, I had originally planned to use an A2 card format, but I thought it would be fun to create a shaped card base that would fit in a regular UK envelope.

The Pretty Picado Borders provided a fantastic edge detail, and as the outline for the border is a separate die, it made it really easy to cut a contrasting panel to go under the cut-out pattern to hide my card blank.

Once everything was assembled, I just needed to add a finishing touch to make the most of the extra height offered by a UK envelope size. Out came the Regency Bow No. 2 die set to add that extra pop and drama!

And there we go, card complete.
