Today’s card is a bit of a throwback.
It’s the winter version of a card I made back in May using leftovers from that same project:
Stamps: PTI – Brushed Birds, WPlus9 – Most Wonderful
Die: PTI – Brushed Birds, Sizzix – Tim Holtz – Holiday Greens
Other: Distress Oxides
The only difference here is that I flipped the layout, used a festive sentiment, and used a different combination of Distress Oxides for the sky.
Plus a white pen added great snow highlights to the branch and to bring out snowflakes in the sky where the misted background isn’t so clear. It tends to get a bit hazy over Distress Oxides I’ve found.
For extra festive sparkle I also added some Wink of Stella on the darker teal parts of the birds.
It’s such a simple card design, but I love how versatile it will be by simply changing the ink colours for the background and the birds.
