Plant a Flower Day | Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Good morning!

This week’s Daring Cardmakers challenge comes from Jenny, who wants us to feature our favourite florals on a card.

Well, I couldn’t just pick one, but in general I’m really looking forward to peony season, especially seeing a particular favourite (Bowl of Beauty) appear in my mum and dad’s garden.

So slightly inspired by that and big blooms in general I wanted to finally use a die set from The Stamp Market that I’ve had in my “to use” stash box on my desk for a while.

Sadly many attempts to get a decent photo resulted in a not so great photo from the bunch, but this card does look a lot better in person. Promise!

I cut the flowers and leaves from various colours of cardstock by The Stamp Market and linked them up on the white cardstock panel I was going to use.

I then used a piece of Press and Seal to keep everything in place so I could glue down the flat pieces and pop up one of the flowers on 3D foam tape.

I trimmed the flat florals on the card edge and mounted it on a grey card base.

Then I added the stamped sentiment, and finally used clear Nuvo drops to add details to the flower centres and in between the leaves.
