Well, this card will probably look familiar, but while I had the supplies out from my Daring Cardmakers project, I decided to use the scraps up on another card.
A square one this time!

I covered a square card blank with the left-over panel of the Cottages & Green Houses paper – it wasn’t quite large enough to cover the entire card base, so I thought: Why not create a wood grain frame from the floral paper offcuts I had?
And wow, these woodgrain dies work well with more detailed patterns too. They’ve created a great leafy border with pops of colour from the flowers. I mounted the frame elements on the sturdy cardboard of a “Please do not bend” envelope – better used for crafting than in the recycling bin. 😉
It’s a good way to pop up the frame without relying on 3D foam tape.
Finally, for the sentiment I used one of the journaling spots from the Happy Day paper, but covered up the text on it with a mix of sentiments from Avery Elle and Flora & Fauna.
Definitely a simple make, but nice to have another card at the ready rather than put scraps of paper back in the bag with the larger sheets.
