This week over on the Daring Cardmakers blog the theme is: “Celebrate”

For my card I decided to dig into my paper stash for the background to some of my favourite dies:

Card inspiration from Handmade by Natty featuring SugarPea Designs You're My Type

I started out by grabbing a square kraft card blank. I so rarely use premade bases these days that I think this one must be from a pack I purchased 3 or 4 years ago… None of the bases are totally square and always look wonky despite attempts to straighten the edges with a trimmer.

The Willow Lane papers from Maggie Holmes look lovely against kraft and were a lovely backdrop for the ever popular You’re My Type typewriter from Sugarpea Designs, this time cut from a scrap of citrine cardstock.

Lots of crimped dies from The Greetery were deployed to add a little texture and interest. I also cut the Twisted Crepe die from scrap cardstock and used the snipped off pieces inside the card and also under the sentiment banner.

A very simple design, but I love the combination of bright papers with the crimped edges. 🙂
