Well, the first Friday of a new month means a new elemental inspiration challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers blog.

I started out by stamping the Criss Cross Background stamp in Gravel grey on white cardstock.
I worked out where I’d be placing the Just Mason Around jar on the card, and then added in the stencilled Leafy and Rusty Mason Jar Filler stencils as the background to the Field Flowers.
Before adding the stamped die-cuts created with autumnal shades of ink (all listed below) I die cut the white cardstock panel with the large crimped rectangle die from The Greetery. Love that crimped edge detail.
Next, I stamped the Mason Jar with Mermaid ink from Lawn Fawn for all three steps and used the Rusty ink again for the twine accent.
I stamped a sentiment from the Just Mason Around set onto one of the small Sentiment Suite Basics dies and managed to hide an ink smudge with that little sentiment. Handy!
The jar and large flower have some extra dimension behind them, making them pop out from the background.
As the background to my card panel, I stencilled Pacific blue ink on the teal card base using the solid Knit Wits stencil that looks like little hearts, but also has the desired look of a knit pattern.
Once the card was assembled, the final step was to splatter on some copper paint that really sparkles when the light catches it. 🙂
