Well, Friday has come around quick, and of course that means a brand-new challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers Blog.
This week, Miri has challenged us to feature elements found in a wood or forest, or even make a forest scene.
I immediately reached for my Curio Autumn Findings dies from The Greetery, and a few more coordinating sets to make my card:

Once I had all my supplies together, I cut the various woodland elements out of white cardstock and got to work adding colour with Distress Oxides and sponge daubers, then using pencils to accent the finer details where necessary.
I planned out where I would place the various elements by arranging them on the metal Curio Divider die and taking a photo for later reference.
Then I created a wash on watercolour cardstock using regular Distress inks (Antique Paper and Forest Moss), heat setting the colours between applications, and adding a few splatters for good measure.
Once that panel was dry, I cut it with the Divider die and cut the die from a few pieces of spare cardstock to create dimension against the kraft card base I’d prepared.
I used a Tiny Tag from The Stamp Market for my sentiment (loved the Mini Everyday Messages set from Mama Elephant for these tags) and added it to my card as the final finishing touch.
