Well, this momentous birthday called for a snazzy card…
Behold the unicorn snowglobe!

I started out by cutting the Snowglobe Easel card base elements from coloured cardstock (“purple” with a blue tone is a particular favourite of the birthday girl).
For the night sky background, I blended various blue tones of Distress Ink on smooth Neenah cardstock, trying to create light areas behind where I would place the moon and stars. When that was dry, I cut it with the circle die in snowglobe set and added pearlescent Gansai Tambi paint splatters to create a constellation in the background.
While the paint dried, I cut all the elements I’d need to build the scene, choosing glittered cardstock where possible and adding a Wink of Stella to the rainbow arches once I’d coloured them in with Copics. The matt silver elements for the wings, horns, and base of the snowglobe were actually from some left-over packaging for a non-crafting item. They did the job perfectly!
I stamped the sentiment on the left-over piece of Neenah cardstock I’d blended ink onto, and cut it out with a banner die from the Sentiment Suite Basics set below.
I then assembled all the elements, using 3D foam tape here and there for extra pop.
Finally, I added the die-cut number 6, and a matching pink gem as the detail to keep the easel card popped up.
And there we have it, a different take on the Christmas snowglobe pop-up easel card…
