So, I’m hopping on my blog to share the card I made for my god-daughter’s recent birthday.
Stamps: The Stamp Market – Eat Cake, Pinkfresh Studio – Chevron background
Dies: The Stamp Market – Eat Cake, Hero Arts – Infinity Nesting Rectangles, The Greetery – Bold Numbers
I’d actually made the background panel for this card a few weeks ago when I was in a creative slump and just wanted to play with pretty ink colours and try out the Pinkfresh Chevron background stamp, where you can remove each chevron to ink the stamp selectively.
I used these ink colours from The Stamp Market for the panel: Sea Glass, Matcha, Pacific, Blush, Peach, Golden, then Sea Glass again.
A 10th birthday is a pretty big deal, so of course it called for some glittery numbers: The Bold Numbers from The Greetery are really nicely detailed when used with plain cardstock, but also pretty snazzy with glitter cardstock!
For the focal point to the numbers, I stamped the cake from the Eat Cake set from The Stamp Market in Blush pink ink. Then used post-it notes and ink cubes where possible to ink up the candles (once die-cut and puzzle pieced back into the cut cardstock) to stamp them in my Misti in different shades.
I also used a sentiment from this stamp set to finish off the card.
