It’s my turn to set the elemental inspiration challenge this month over on the Daring Cardmakers blog, and well I’ve gone for something that will hopefully be seasonal! 😉
Weather permitting!
For my card I took inspiration from the seaside theme, the colours, and the pattern elements:
Stamps: Waffle Flower – Birthday Wishes, Waffle Flower – Postage Collage Beach Days
Dies: Waffle Flower – Birthday Wishes, Waffle Flower – Postage Collage
Stencils: Waffle Flower – Postage Collage Beach Days, Waffle Flower – Postage Collage Coloring
And yes, it may very well be a shameless excuse to use my Waffle Flower Beachy Days stencils and stamps, but if I don’t use them this time of the year, when else will I? 😉
I used a few different ink colours for the various elements, including two recently reinked blue shades from The Stamp Market that I may have overinked! Oops.
I even managed to cover up a stamping boo-boo (upside down seagulls) by covering that first attempt up with the lovely Birthday Wishes stamped sentiment.
And, of course, there had to be some traditional seaside rock-inspired stripes!
