Well, some crafting days are good days, and others are not so good!
Today’s Festive Friday card seemed like a great idea and I thought I had the ink colours nailed, but nope!

Stickers: Simple Stories – Winter Wonder
I managed to snag some of the Winter Wonder collection from Simple Stories to use on this year’s Christmas cards.
I even bought the cardstock sticker sheet and the sticker book with the intention of using the smaller pieces on Postage Collage themed cards.
Well, the sticker book stickers are super thin and not as vibrant as the sticker books I had in the past, admittedly a few years ago. So my hopes of adding some dimension behind them were slightly dashed…
Oh well, I decided to use the stickers anyway on the Postage Stamps Cover die I’d prepped with ink colours (that appeared to match the collection and would surely dry back lighter) and splatted with white ink for a snowy effect.
Then came the fun part of adding the Postage Collage details behind and around the stickers as I went.
I wasn’t loving that snow shoe quadrant, so I added a quick stamped sentiment to the mix along with a sparkly snowflake left over from a previous project.
Lesson learned from this project, and hopefully the next postage-themed card with this collection will go a bit better!
