I’m back on the Seven Hills Crafts blog today with a fun card that takes me back to my stamping roots.
The Triple-Step Happy Day stamp and die bundle features a main stamped image that is broken down into 3 steps, allowing you to easily mix and match the colours you use for different occasions.
I absolutely love to get inky and play with different colour combinations, so it’s a real treat to have a set that combines lots of solid images in the design to really let those colours shine.
The guide included for the stamps and dies gives you a good idea of where to start when selecting your colours.
The images in the stamps are also spaced out enough that you could make each element a different colour – I may try this when I’m feeling more ambitious!
But for today’s card, I kept things simple.

Cover die: Waffle Flower – Sweet Plaid Texture
I knew that I wanted to make the “happy” stand out using the matching outline die for this word, so I would need to stamp the full image two times to achieve that. But, I always love an opportunity to make life easier down the road when using a new set of supplies. So I actually stamped the main panel three times in the end, so I would have a template for future projects, making it easier to line up the stamps inside my stamp positioner next time.
I also die cut the larger flower pieces and stamped those to add a bit more pop.
And before cutting the “Happy” out with the outline die, I stamped the largest of the three hearts in the inside the letter “A”.
Before cutting the panel with the scalloped outline die, I stamped the “Hooray” sentiment at the bottom, which then made it easier to position the die before cutting everything out.
To make that plain background to my card a bit more interesting, I added texture with the Sweet Plaid Texture die from Waffle Flower.
This is definitely a great bundle for combining with background stamps, stencils, and texture plates in your stash, and of course patterned paper.
