For some time now, Typepad and the Pinterest widget have not been functioning properly on my blog.
I’ve reached out to Typepad about this several times over the past year or so and Pinterest too, but without full resolution.
Sometimes pinning works fine and pins link back to the actual blog post, sometimes it’s not even possible to pin an image.
So, if you ever encounter issues here or on Pinterest this info may help.
If you wish to save any of the projects on my blog to your Pinterest boards, the easiest way to do this is via the dedicated boards on my Pinterest account:
- Here’s a little something I made earlier – here you’ll find all my card projects (manually created project pins from 2024 onwards have working links back to the original posts)
- Handmade by Natty IG – these pins have been automatically generated from my IG feed as of summer 2024
Some older pins on my dedicated Pinterest board don’t always go back to the original blog post, despite it being linked when the pin was originally created. I’m not able to fix the links on these pins, as I always get an error message on Pinterest. If you ever want the details for the original blog post, you can browse the My Latest Cards/My Cards albums here on my blog, where the supplies are listed and a link is provided to the original post. Or simply drop me a comment on the pin on Pinterest, and I’ll respond there.
I am really frustrated about these issues, but short of decamping to a new platform, this is the only workaround I have at the moment.
