I’ve had more fun using the Have a Spine die set from The Greetery paired with the lovely Best Bouquet stamp set.
I really love the compatibility between several recent releases and how they fit on the cover of the Have a Spine book.
It was time to feature the purple bouquet I’d previously stamped on a new card project, so I built another book around it in pretty coordinating colours:
Stamps: The Greetery – Best Bouquet, The Greetery – Shelved, The Greetery – Sweetest Frame
Dies: The Greetery – Best Bouquet Base, The Greetery – A2 Stitched Scallops, The Greetery – Have a Spine, The Greetery – PreText Banners
I wanted to still feature some plum tones, so I stamped the largest frame from the Sweetest Frames stamp set in Plum ink on the book cover panel I cut from Spellbinders ColorWheel Fairy Tale cardstock.
I assembled the rest of the book using more ColorWheel cardstock, including Beeswax for the spine.
Once the book was assembled, I stamped the spine with details from the Shelved stamp set in different yellow tones.
For extra pop, I cut the middle A2 Stitched Scallop die from Mint ColorWheel cardstock.
Finally, I stamped another sentiment from the Shelved set on Chiffon ColorWheel cardstock and cut it out with one of the Pre-Text Banners dies.
I’m really pleased with how this colour palette turned out, as it is rare for me to lean into purple tones AND yellow.
I’m now thinking about which other shades I can use for the Best Bouquet set and create more book-themed cards.
