Morning all!
Well, this week’s Festive Friday make was a bit of a fraught one.
As it turns out that I have lost the tiny bow die that is included in the Our House die set from Concord & 9th.
The last time I used this set several months ago, I obviously managed to not place the bow back on the magnetic storage sheet properly and poof! It has disappeared and probably accidentally made it into the bin and is long gone… 🙁
A real tragedy…
Especially as I don’t believe I have any bow dies as small as that one that would act as a good substitute.
And I didn’t realise all this until it came time to add my little bow dies on today’s card.
Anyway, here is how the card turned out with a bigger bow substitute!
Dies: Concord & 9th – Our House, Concord & 9th – Paper Bouquet, The Greetery – Winter Medley
I’d already cut the house and roof elements in a previous craft session, so it was just necessary to assemble everything else, most of which was cut from scraps of C9, Spellbinders, and The Stamp Market cardstock.
I leant into those coral and peachy tones from C9 and Spellbinders.
And the substitute bow is from the C9 Paper Bouquet set. It still works well with The Greetery’s Winter Medley greenery that I cut for the windows.
I used a white Posca pen to add snow details first, then went in with white puffy paint to make those areas dimensional.
Then I used a gold Posca pen for the flower centres on the wreath.
And to add to the tale of woe associated with this card, my Glossy Accents left a huge blob on the card that was hard to clean away. The bottle started running as soon as I took the lid off and my card was right under it waiting for me to add the gloss to the lights.
But ultimately it’s not that noticeable, thankfully!
Here’s to next week’s card being a smoother experience.
Until next time, happy crafting!
