Morning all!
I’m back on the Seven Hills Crafts blog today with a return to more seasonal projects…
Christmas in July 2025 is over, so I thought it would be fun to kick off August with a full-on summer card featuring the Boardwalk Stacks dies and stamps from Concord & 9th.
This set can be used on regular cards, but is designed to work with the new Pop-Out Stacks Base dies for a dimensional look.
As always, there are lots of small detail dies, great for using up your cardstock scraps – especially from assorted card packs.

Dies: Concord & 9th – Boardwalk Stacks dies, Concord & 9th – Pop-Out Stacks Base dies

I started out by cutting the large Pop-Out Stacks die from pale blue cardstock so that I could blend some blue ink onto it to create the sky backdrop.
It took me a moment to work out how I wanted the rest of the layers to build up – realising I wanted the ferris wheel to be in front of the rollercoaster, so this would have left the back stacks strip with nothing on it.
The stamp set includes a stamp for adding seagulls and wave details, so I thought why not make the back strip the sea. That way, when someone peers inside the card, there’s a little hidden detail on the horizon.
I cut the next two strips from a light grey cardstock to stick the rollercoaster on the back and the ferris wheel on the front.
Then it was time to assemble all the little attractions for the boardwalk.
The Boardwalk Stacks set also includes the dies to create the beach at the front, complete with steps and railings.
It’s easiest to add the elements to the strips before you stick them in place, making sure to score down the middle of anything that sits on the score line of the strips. I didn’t want to score through the main sentiment, so I only added glue at the ends of the sentiment so it could still bend when the card was opened.
There’s also some wiggle room during assembly to work out the placement of elements on the front layers once they strips are stuck down.
I’m really happy with how the card turned out, and it’s given me a template for future looks to try – including a nighttime scene.
Until next time, happy crafting!
