Time to share something that isn’t festive for a change!
A card featuring another Spellbinders floral set that I managed to pick up at a good price.
And of course, it didn’t go quite according to plan!

A few weeks ago, I cut all the florals for this card in the high heat of summer using lots of scraps from my stash – mainly a mix of Spellbinders ColorWheel and C9 cardstock.
This is another great die set for running through a smaller machine like a Sidekick.
Once the weather cooled down, I got the die-cuts out again and chose some dies to set the scene for them.
Namely, the Lil’ Inker Quatrefoil cover plate on C9 Nectar cardstock and the Spellbinders Essential Floral Reflection set cut from C9 Tidepool.
And that’s when things took a left turn!
Despite being really careful (or so I thought) I managed to stick my florals on upside down on my originally portrait card (using the press ‘n’ seal technique by laying the main elements on the image in the packaging to transfer them to my card).
It was too late to for the leafy florals when I realised the card was opening on the left rather than the right.
Thankfully, it wasn’t too late to rotate the card into landscape format so that I could rearrange the main flower and add in some others around the sentiment.
Phew!
Hopefully, no calamities waiting in the wings for my next card.
