Today I’m sharing another make with retired Spellbinders supplies and a preloved stamp set I picked up on eBay not so long ago…

When I snagged the Sealed Bouquet dies in the sale last year, I thought I could use them for simple bouquets or to fill a jar die. Well a simple bouquet it was.
These bouquet dies – and there are still several die sets in the sealed collection still available out there – were originally designed to be used with wax seals. But as wax seals aren’t something I use or have, I thought I’d simply use a sentiment to tie the bouquet together.
And that’s where the Wonderful Sentiments set from Pinkfresh Studio comes in. I managed to get this preloved stamp and die set a month or so ago, as it was discontinued by Pinkfresh before I managed to snag it. Sadly, this particular stamp in the set had some manufacturing defects, so I needed to do a little stamp surgery on it to make it stamp cleanly.
I’m usually very good at testing all my stamps and dies when I receive them, but it’s been a busy time and I have fallen out of the habit. Annoyingly there are some defects in the So Grateful and Take Care stamps in this set too, but the placement of them wasn’t so easy to fix. The stamp surgery I’ve done has made them look better though.
Sigh.
So annoying when it is such a lovely set of sentiments. The stamp set is in stock at a UK store still, but it’s not worth rebuying for just two sentiments. You live and learn I suppose!
Thankfully the sentiments I planned to use the most are fine.
Anyway, back to this project. I cut the bouquet out with Stamp Market blue and Dijon tones, and C9 greens.
I once again used some of my preprinted digi papers – the background is from Woodland Grove and the chevron paper inside the Capsule Basics frame is from Willow Lane.
To finish off my card, I added some ivory sequins with the excellent help of my Pinkfresh embellishment tool. So much better than the previous embellishment tools I’ve had.
And that’s it – keeping it nice and simple.
