Once again, it feels odd to be sharing a snowy scene on the first day of May… But my foray back into not-so-tiny houses last week inspired me to get Concord & 9th’s classic and wonderful Home for the Holidays die set out again for this week’s Festive Friday project….
So it’s a return to tiny houses today! Yay!

So after last week’s snowy blizzard using flock on die cut pieces, I thought I’d try it on the little houses and trees I cut mainly from the new C9 2026 colours. This time I popped them in a cardboard box to give them a spritz of water from a distance and sieved over the flock, plus a pinch of Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter.
The effect is much more subtle – and I had to spritz the trees again with water and dab them into the sifted flock still in the box. I’m still trying to find that happy medium between how much water to spray over to get good adhesion but not giant blobs of water pooling.
Anyway, I will persevere, but think the flock works best on larger surfaces as the subtly can be lost a bit on these smaller pieces without going back in and adding more.
While the houses and trees were drying, I covered my card in a mix of digital patterned papers – the chevron is from Crate Paper Bundled Up and the diagonal stripe is from Pebbles Merry Little Christmas. I also had a piece of snowy sky paper from Crate Paper Mittens & Mistletoe that provided the perfect background to the arched scene.
Once the scene was complete, I added a sentiment from Waffle Flower and some sequins for extra sparkle.
I may take a break from houses next week – who knows!
