Well, what can I say… I’ve gone old school this week.
Alas, the creative festive ideas are running low. So I’m revisiting a look I last tried back in 2019 in the days of my old blog.

Once again, it’s a showcase for retired supplies. And one of my favourite all-time sets is the Christmas Cottage die set from Concord & 9th’s very early days.
It’s been a while since I did any ink blending of wintry skies, so out came the Bristol card, a bit of clear heat embossing of the Star Turnabout background stamp, and blending over with Distress Inks.
Once the background was done, it was just a matter of adding in the Christmas Cottage layers, complete with some glitter card to accent the little cottage.
Before sticking down the last layer, I stamped the sentiment from Hello Bluebird on it.
Finally, I cut the Folk Star and reinforced all the score lines to make it more dimensional, so I could tuck it behind the treeline more or less in the centre of the light blue area.
